Dave founded the Charity in 2011 when he saw the need to start a charity which bridged the gap between the Church, Schools and Communities. Dave works for the trust full time serving young people and families and building partnerships. Dave worked for many years for Perth and District YMCA as a Youth Worker and Programme Manager and is now the Chairman of Perth and District YMCA. Dave has worked with charities all over the world including North America, Africa and Europe.
Cheryll has been involved in children’s ministry and youth work for many years. In 2005 Cheryll worked with street children in Lima, Peru and helped to build residential homes for these children. She has been working in employability since then helping young people gain access to employment, education and training. Cheryll is married to Dave and they have two children Jesse and Lily.
Anne describes herself as ‘young at heart’ and is passionate about enabling young people and families to reach their full potential! Previous experience of voluntary work for local charities and also the Children’s panel gave Anne the desire to study Community Development at Moray House. Working with young people and families in different settings including youth groups, literacy groups and support groups was Anne’s background before commencing her current post as a Lecturer at the local college.
Ross has been involved with the trust since its inception and has been part of the Connect leadership group for the last 5 years. In 2015 Ross became a trustee and 2016 took on the role of the treasurer. Ross received a 1st Class Honours Degree in Community Education from the University of Strathclyde in 2012. Ross led the youth project RoomSixty in Ayr for many years before moving to Fintry Parish Church in Dundee to take up the role of Mission and Discipleship Coordinator.
